More photos, Huzzah!

England is grey. Grey and foggy. I hate this country sometimes...

I've been in a pub. Surprise.

More climbing. Now there's something unusual.

The following photos were 'commissioned' by Steve, the guy in the next 3 pictures because , as he puts it, "I'm vain and need more photos of me busting a nut on the wall".

Also: Cheese.

Lectures are boring, photos are interesting.

Went for a noodle break on campus. This frame is all about pretty reflections, I'm not going to lie.
This old man just struck me as interesting

Standard.

Because apparently I'm 5 years old...

I was apparently in a corridor mood today. That and I spent a good hour getting lost in the bowels of the university between lectures and decided to make good use of wasted time.

If this shoe were a Nike Air, this would make a good commercial. If there are any Nike headhunters out there who want to harness this untapped marketing genius, my email's in my profile.

There was also a contemporary Columbian photography exhibition on campus. Small, but ok I guess. The photos that this bloke is looking at are a series of diptychs where the photographer has taken a picture of torn seats etc. on public transport and then sewn them up with bright string and taken another photo. Cool idea but nothing amazing. There was also a series of street shots taken as people walk by. I can appreciate the bold approach but the execution could have been better. Looking at 100 photos of people with a "What the hell are you doing?" expression on their face gets dull. Fast.
At least the light in there was nice.

So how about some photos?

This was taken on the way to uni. 8:30am and people are already exercising.

Odd place to do work I thought but we British know how to make the most of any sunny weather we happen to get.

That's what this blog needs, more cat photos! Insta +500 views!

I liked that this guy had his doors open. It's funny, the second the sun comes out in Britain everyone is suddenly acting like they're in the Bahamas. Had about a second to snap this before a garbage truck ruined my view.

This is Viva Essex girl. Say "Hello Viva Essex girl!".

This is one of the many trolls that inhabit the deep, dank bowels of the Computer Science building. I could make millions off this sighting...

Trees + fog + flare = ART
Back at uni again.

After lectures I went climbing

Sassy.

And finally, heading home.

I spent half the time of writing this post dragging images around because blogger automatically shoves them to the top of the page when they're uploaded. Gotta remember to upload images first next time.

Hey lookit, a blog

So, after a long and arduous thinking process I finally decided that blogs are in fact the natural habitat for street photography. This is where I’ll be posting mine from now on. I also just so happen to have some that I took today ready to be uploaded. Lucky you! On the way to university, via the more picturesque route. I kind of like how small the woman is in the frame. Kinda boring though.Bus stop woman again, but closer this time. More boring.

This house has always intrigued me for some reason. It catches my eye every time I walk past it. Finally decided to take a picture of it. Had to recover it pretty severely with the levels tool in photoshop because I intentionally underexposed it by about a stop for reasons that escape me. Must have been more tired than I thought.
Trees make art. Little known trade secret ;)
This is a shot that I’ve wanted for a while. I think it could be better executed though, the light just seems a little iffy this time around. I’ll come back to this someday.
One of the better ones from today I think
At uni, standard group of students protesting about something inane and pointless. Don't know why but I kind of like the flare in this one. And yes, the composition sucks.
I had some time before my lecture so I went for a walk around the lakes on campus since the light was nice. Saw this couple passing by up ahead so I ran for it. It's not often that I'll run for a shot but it was definitely worth it here.
Last frame of the day, right before my lecture and, because the weather in England sucks, it was pitch black by the time I got out.

I can’t wait for my 50mm.

They were talking about the new noodle bar on campus. It’s a good place, although a little pricey.

Okay, here’s hoping this all works…

Oh, and sorry about the white frames around everything. They’re personal preference really. I wasn’t planning on leaving them on for the blog but they were a little hard to get rid of and I was too lazy to re-edit the original files so, for this entry, they’re there.
